Tourist resort Manali, Shimla & nearby areas lashes by rain showers

Pleasant, cloudy and rainy weather greeted the lakhs of tourists who were camping here to brave the sweltering heat wave of plain as Manali, Shimla and other parts of the State were lashed by clod wind or rain showers this afternoon. Tourist resort Manali which is filled to its capacity witnessed rain showers in the afternoon as it recorded 3.6 mm rainfall.

 

The maximum temperature came down to 17 degree Celsius with the pleasant weather at Manali was high at 24 degrees yesterday. Tourist resort Kalpa in Kinnaur was having rain showers since last two days recorded 1.4 mm rain in the last 24 hours. Capital town Shimla that witnessed the heatwaves recorded traces of rainfall and recorded 0.4 degree Celsius today.

 

Dharamshala and Una was low at 23.6 degrees each, Nahan 22.6 degrees, Hamirpur and Kangra 20.8 degrees each and Bilaspur 18.8 degrees respectively. The Met office forecast rain or thundershower or snowfall at isolated parts in foot, mid hills and high reaches in the next 24 hours.
