Night temperature of Keylong plunged to minus

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that rain, snowfall and thundershowers lashed many parts of the State in the last 24 hours declining the night temperature marginally. The Met Office said that Keylong in Lahaul Spiti got traces of snowfall and five mm rain High reaches of Lahaul Spiti district including lady of Keylong, Seven sister’s hill, Kunzum pass and 13050 high Rohtang Pass recorded light snowfall disrupting snow clearance work and vehicular traffic partly.

 

Tourist resort Manali got 17 mm rainfall, Seobagh of Kullu 8.5 mm, Solan 6.8 mm, Bajura 6.6 mm, Buntar 6.4 mm, Kalpa 4.6 mm, Sundernagar four mm, Una three mm, Kangra and Bilaspur one mm each. The minimum temperature of Keylong was at minus 0.1 degrees and three degree below normal, Kalpa 0.6 degrees 4.8 degrees below normal, Manali three degrees five degree below normal, Bhuntar in Kullu 8.2 degrees, 3.7 degree below normal, Dharamshala 10.2 degrees and 7.7 degrees below normal, Solan 10.8 degrees and Sundernagar 11.6 degrees and four degree below normal respectively.

 

Shimla 11.5 degrees and 2.4 degree below normal,  Kangra 13 degrees, Bilaspur 13.3 degrees, Palampur 13.5 degrees, Hamirpur 14.4 degrees, Mandi 16.6 degrees Una 16.8 degrees, and Nahan 17.7 degrees. The Met office forecast rain or snowfall at isolated places in the high reaches and mainly dry weather in the rest of the State during next 24 hours.
