Mercury improvises in HP and night temperature goes below normal

The mercury was improvised by marginally today as day temperature shows some increase, however the night temperature kept two to three degrees below normal as part of tribal areas are still reeling under subzero. The Met Office recorded 35.2 degree celsius maximum temperature at Una followed by Sundernagar in Kangra and Mandi at 31 degrees each, Nahan in Sirmaur at 30.8 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 29.8 degrees, Solan 29 degrees,  Dharamshala 25.8 degrees, Shimla 23.5 degrees, tourist resort Manali 20.8 degrees and Kalpa 15.6 degrees respectively.

 

Keylong in Lahaul Spiti was low at minus 2.5 degrees and 5.5 degree below normal, Kalpa at 2.6 degrees and 1.1 degree below normal, Tourist resort Manali at 2.6 degrees and 3.6 degrees down, Bhuntar seven degrees, Sundernagar and Bilaspur 8.6 degrees, Dharamshala 10.4 degrees and 4.6 degree below normal, Hamirpur, Una and Palampur in Kangra 10.4 degrees each and 3.5 degrees down. Shimla was normal at 11.2 degrees, Nahan 15.7 degrees and Mandi 17.7 degrees respectively.

 

Met office forecast mainly dry weather in the State during the next 24 hours.
