Mercury improves with dry and mainly sunny weather

The cold waves abetted today with dry and mainly sunny weather as the mercury improvised by couple of degrees in the last 24 hours in the State. High reaches of Kullu, Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur was overcast by the heavy cloud brings light snowfall on its high reaches however its down streams were mainly dry.

 

Barring few places it was mainly dry and sunshine today. The minimum temperature of Keylong was at minus five degree Celsius than that  of minus 8.5 degrees of yesterday, Kalpa in Kinnuar was minus 0.6 degrees, tourist resort Manali 2.6 degrees, Solan 5.6 degrees, Bhuntar at 6.2 degrees. Shimla, Palampur and Sundernagar of Mandi was low at 6.5 degrees.

 

The minimum temperature of Hamirpur and Kangra was at 7.5 degrees, Una 8.8 degrees, Hamirpur 9 degrees, Dharamshala 10.2 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 10.8 degrees and Mandi 12.6 degrees respectively. The Met office forecast mainly dry weather in the next 24 hours in the State.
