Council of Ministers stamp on the proposal of second capital

    Himachal Pradesh Government and council of ministers today approved Dharamshala as the second capital of the State. The cabinet meeting held today afternoon was presided by the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh approved Dharamshala as second capital of the State.

     

    Senior cabinet colleague of the Virbhadra Singh, Transport and Food Civil Supply and Consumer affairs minister G.S. Bali said that this is an important decision for the people of Kangra, Chamba, Kullu and Mandi region. The ministers would sit in the second capital and it would ease the work of common people of the State, Mr G.S. Bali informed.

     

    Local legislator from Dharamshala Mr Sudhir Thakur said that GAD (General Administration Department) office of the Secretariat would shift to Dharamshala secretariat. He said that this would also give benefit to the Congress part as such important decisions have been taken under the leadership of Virbhadra Singh and it would help locals to ease their administrative works with the Government. Earlier Mr. Singh took u turn on this issue as he had declared Dharamshala recently during his short sojourn at foothills districts of Kangra and Hamirpur.
