Police slaps non bailable sections against IGMC medico

Himachal Pradesh Police slapped non bailable section against the accused of IGMC Medico who had been booked for ragging first year student in the Medical college hostel on Sunday as the FIR was registered today. Shimla Police Chief Mr. D W Negi confirmed that non-bailable offense was invoked against Praveen Negi, student of MBBS, Batch-2012 as he was booked today on the complaint of IGMC Principal Dr. Ashok Sharma.

 

SP said that beside booking the accused under non bailable section three of HP Education institution Prohibition of Ragging Act 2009 various sections of IPC have been invoked for trespassing the premises of hostels where the alleged incident took place. The FIR has been registered at Police Station under sec. 351,451,323 IPC & 3 HP Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Ragging) Act. The accused went in the hostel room of Mr. Manish Bhargwa (student of MBBS 1st year) and took his ragging & had beaten him brutally. Now the case is being investigated by ASI Virender Kumar.
