Significant rainfall and snowfall in few parts of Himachal

After prolonged dry spell few parts of Himachal Pradesh lashed with rainfall and light to moderate snowfall in the higher reaches. The Met office recorded 10 cm snowfall at Khadrala of Shimla and 2.5 cm snowfall and 2 mm rainfall at Theog. Kotkhai got 12 mm rainfall, Kumarsain & Rohru 7.6 mm each, Jubbal & Sarahan 4 mm each and Bajaura in Kullu 0.1 mm respectively.

 

The minimum temperature of Keylong was -3.2 degree Celsius, Kalpa -3 degrees, Tourist resort Manali -0.6 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu was low at 1.4 degrees, Sundernagar 2.6 degrees, Solan 3.5 degrees and Shimla 4 degrees, Kangra  6.4 degrees, Unà 7 degrees,  Dharamshala 9 degrees and Nahan 9.4 degrees respectively.

 

The Met Office forecast rainfall or snowfall in isolated parts of Himachal Pradesh in the next 24 hours.
