Tourist resort Narkanda of Shimla district today experienced snowfall enthralling tourists to gather here to celebrate New Year however vehicular traffic disrupted on Hindustan-Tibet road between Theog and Narkanda. The reports arriving said that the vehicular traffic disrupted at Narkanda experienced snowfall enthralling large numbers of tourists. All bus services going to Rampur, Jakhri and Narkanda were diverted via Basantpur and Theog Baghi road.
About three services of HRTC and Tourist vehicles stranded in the snow as four to five centimeters SNOWFALL received in the tourist place and mount Hatu today. HRTC officer confirmed that all services to Kinnaur, Kotgarh, Rampur to be plyed via Basantpur till road did not put open for vehicular traffic and access through Narkanda.
Tourist resort Kufri and Shimla was overcast today and chances of snow fall could not be denied. Shimla, Kufri and Narkanda had experienced snow fall on Christmas last year after a gap of eight years. The Met Office forecast rain or snow fall in few parts of the State in the next 24 hours.
