BJP MP from Hamirpur, Sh. Anurag Thakur lashed out at Congress Government of HP today, for making false promises and misleading the youth. “In fact, Sh. G.S Bali, Transport, Technical Education, Vocational & Industrial Training Minister, himself went on record and admitted that the Government has failed in providing unemployment allowance to youth in Himachal, as promised in the election manifesto in 2012,” said Anurag. He was commenting on the statements of Bali over his (Bali’s),denial for a seat on Dias in Rahul Gandhi’s rally at Dharamsala on 24th of this month.

On the failure of the Congress Government, Thakur said, “Over the years Congress Government has become synonymous with false promises and misleading people for their own benefit. The last four years have not witnessed any significant development and instead the Government has failed the hope of several educated youth, who for varied reasons are unemployed and were assured by the government with an unemployment allowance of Rs. 1000 per month. But the Government has failed completely in making any allowance available for the unemployed educated youth.”

He added that today, their own Cabinet Minister Sh. G.S Bali has agreed to the fact that the Government did not fulfill their promise, which was one of their key election manifesto in 2012. In fact Bali has put forth a request in front of Chief Minister Sh. Virbhadra Singh to make the unemployment allowance available and thereby fulfill the poll promise as the Assembly polls are approaching. “This goes to prove that Congress only cares about polls & their own interest and public welfare is least on their priority list,” said Anurag in a press release at Dharamshala.

Adding further he said, “The Congress Government keeps narrating the welfare schemes they are carrying forward for the youth. However, those welfare schemes falls under the array of PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, which is a Central Government funded scheme. This makes it evident that the Government is using the Central Government’s schemes to cover their shortcomings and failures as the State Government. Their own Minister has endorsed their incapability and inefficiency in securing the right of people and live upto their own promises.”
