Opposition oppose the move to raise the issue of demonetization in HP Assembly

    Opposition BJP today opposed the move of ruling Congress to raise the issue of Demonetization causing adverse impact on the general public small traders and farmers. The Leader of Opposition Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal pointed out that the Speaker rejected Opposition motion to raise the issue of corruption charges against Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh, however he allowed to raise the issue under rule 130 on the demonetization that is also pending in the Supreme Court.

     

    Speaker Brij Lal Butail said that he had received two different notices on the issue however it was not on the issue of demonetization pending in the court. He said that demonetization and its adverse impact on the general public causing inconvenience especially to small traders and farmers are two different issue and he could allow the second.

     

    He said that Congress member Sanjay Rattan raised the issue of inconvenience caused to general public after demonetization however BJP member Mr. Mahinder Singh Thakur brought a private member resolution under rule 101 to discuss about the impact of demonetization to eliminate the corruption and black money in the country.

     

    BJP members protested that two issues are at par however speaker  is giving different ruling on them which he should considered again. Later BJP chief whip heard telling in the house that it retained all the seats in Municipal Corporation election after wining 14 seats today and it happens because of appreciation of Demonetization by the people.
