The minimum temperature rises by couple of degrees in HP

The people of this Hill State got slight respite from cold waves as it was partly cloudy in the night and mainly dry and sunny in the morning, the Met Official said. The night temperature recorded slight increase in the state as it was covered by blanket of clouds in the night however, the State continue to be dry and sunny in the day giving respite from prevailing cold waves as Mercury registers couple of degrees rise in the minimum.

 

The headquarter of Lahaul Spiti district Keylong was minus three degrees today, similarly Shimla was low at 8.8 degrees today. The minimum temperature of tourist resort Manali was 0 degrees, Chamba 1 degrees and Kalpa in Kinnaur and Bhuntar in Kullu at 1.4 degrees each and Sundernagar 1.8 degrees.

 

Solan was minimum at 3.4 degrees, Bilaspur 4 degrees, Palampur and Mandi 4.5 degrees each, Una 4.7 degrees, Kangra and Hamirpur 5.5 degrees each respectively. Nahan in Sirmour 7.6 degrees, Shimla 8.8 degrees and Dharamshala 10 degrees respectively. The state continues to face the dry spell and deficient rainfall conditions since last Oct 1 till Dec 15 there as only  5.3 mm of rain against normal 71.3 and it is deficit by 93 per cent, Met official said. It forecasts mainly dry weather in the next 24 hours in the State.
