Centre gives ok to Rs. 2000 Cr four lane Shimla-Parwanoo NH

The Centre finally gives okay to decks for the four-lane of the 3rd phase of the National highway linking Shimla to Parwanoo.

The Cabinet Committee for Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved Rs. 2,000 Crore for the four lane of 29 km stretch from Kaithlighat to the Shimla town.

The Centre would initially release Rs. 1500 Cr and the remaining Rs. 500 Cr would be given in the later stages.

T he 3rd phase of the National Highway Kaithlighat to Dhalli to Shimla would pass through 25 revenue villages. Under this, 919 bighas of land would be acquired to decongest the road.

The State capital town recorded footfall of more than 35 lakh tourists per annum but due to serpent jig zag rouged road it’s difficult to reach the State.
