HPU to adopt mindset for cashless dealing

A day after HP Governor Acharya Devvrat took meeting of all the State and private universities Himachal Pradesh University decided to adopt cashless dealings in every transaction of the university and colleges. Following the direction issued by the Governor to HPU its Vice Chancellor Mr. A.D.N Bajpai today presided over the meeting and stressed the need Cashless transaction in all the Departments, Sections and Branches of the University as most of the charges are being paid within the University or outside the University.

 

He has further said that 92 percent the University System is already functioning cashless and the remaining percent would be converted into cashless system very soon. The Officers would adopt individualistic approach for the students residing in the inaccessible, far-flung, remote and tribal areas of the State while accepting their University fee and charges in cash.

 

University stressed the need of using ATM Cards and swipe system for by and large transfer of cash to the other departments. While more stress has been laid on the cashless transactions, paperless administration also need to be adopted in every teaching departments, sections and branches and directed all the head of the departments to ensure supply email of every teacher and directed them to open it twice in a day. The shops situated in the campus have also been directed to install cashless machines in their shops.
