HP to host North Zone Santosh Trophy at Sundernagar

Himachal Pradesh would host the North Zone Santosh Trophy Football (NZSTF) championship to be held at Sundernagar in Mandi district from Dec 27, 2016 to Jan 02, 2017 in which teams would take part to qualify for the National Santosh Trophy to be held next year, senior functionary of Himachal Pradesh Football Association told Himvani.

 

After being elected for another term as President of Himachal Pradesh Football Association (HPFA) and OSD of HP CM Mr. Amit Pal Singh told that Maharaja Lakshman Sen Memorial College Sundernagar in Mandi district will be the venue of NZSTF Championship as the State would hold the event from Dec 27,2016 to Jan 2 next year.

 

He said that State Football teams from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Union Territory Chandigarh and host Himachal Pradesh will take part in the tournament. This event will be considered as qualifying round for All India National Trophy Football Championship to be held Next year. Mr. Pal who is OSD to Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh said that the election of HPFA was held at Una on Saturday in which he was given another term as the President of State football body.
