MP to raise demand for regularisation of casual AIR and DD workers

    The Member Parliament Mr. Virender Kashyap today said that he will raise the demand of regularization of casual workers of All India Radio and Doordarshan with the Union Information and Broadcasting minister M. Venkaiah Naidu for providing speedy justice to them and initiate process of regularization of services of all such employees at the earliest.

    While addressing the agitating casual workers at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi today he said that it is tragic that these employees are still casual even after dedicating whole of their life for the organizations.

    He praised the commitment and dedication of such employees and termed them as the backbone of the national broadcasters. He said that the Supreme Court , High Courts and CAT judgements have already directed the Government authorities to provide justice to them and said that all these judgement needs to be implemented in real letter and spirit.

    While praising the role of these employees in providing education , information and entertainment to vast section of society particularly rural population, he said that they have played important role in successful implementation of various national programs and educating masses to avail the benefits of various Government programmes and policies meant for the social and economic upliftment of the society.

    He said that he has been regular listener of the programmes of All India Radio Shimla from childhood and praised AIR Shimla for its programmes for promoting rich cultural heritage and folk songs and dances of the State.
