Three devotes succumb on the high altitude on Shrikhand Kailash Yatra

    Three devotees belonging form UP, Punjab and HP were succumbed on high altitude ailments on the way to Shrikhand Kailesh Yatra on wednesday, a senior police officer of the state confirmed.DSP Ani Mr. Baldev Thakur confirmed the demise of three youth during Shrikhand Kailesh Yatra in three different places on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Umesh Pratap (24) son of Bhanu Pratap resident of Ayodhya of UP.

    Mr. Pratab was hit by a rolling stone at Thachdu after returning from the Shrikhand Kailesh. The deceased was rushed to hospital by the rescue party however he succumbed on the way to Hospital. Another deceased identified as Jitain Anand (27) son of Mr. Satish Anand belonged to Jalandhar, Mr. Anand reportedly died due to high altitude ailing and infestation of Pneumonia who died in the hospital.

    The third victim was identified as Dayal Chand (35) resident of Batala Khani resident of Anni of Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh who died due to high altitude ailment. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to the relative after conducting post mortem. Following the causality in the beginning of the Yatra SDM Anni Dr. C.L. Chauhan said that the district administration has provided assistance to the victim’s families.
