Monsoon turns weak second time after onset in Himachal

The South West Monsoon expected to lash many parts of the State in its peak season, once again turned weak in this hill state as only isolated parts of the State got rainfall in the last 24 hours. However, a number of link roads continue to remain blocked with the rolling down of boulders and triggering of landslides in the Shimla district.

Despite the monsoon clouds hovering over the State it eluded most parts of the State in the peak season. Many parts of the State did not get monsoon rains as the Met office.
The minimum temperature of Shimla was 15.5 degree Celsius, Sundernagar 22 degrees, Bhuntar 21.4 degrees, Kalpa 11.6 degrees, Dharamshala 16 degrees, Una 25.7 degrees, Nahan 21.9 degrees, Keylong 11 degrees and Palampur 18 degrees respectively.

In Shimla district Mashnu road of Rampur subdivision was blocked with rolling down of boulders. Similarly other link roads were also disrupted by recent rains and could not be opened for vehicular traffic. The Met office forecast rain or thunder showers in isolated parts in the next 24 hours.
