Mr. Anurag Thakur, MP Hamirpur and President BCCI, today said that the State Government should make the required policies for computer teachers. Computer teachers in the State are protesting against Chief Minister Sh. Virbhadra Singh as he had committed to the teachers to form a policy, however, there has been no action on this front yet.

Commenting on the protest by the computer teachers, Sh. Anurag Thakur said, “All across the nation there has been progress owing to the growth of IT and tourism industry. These sectors have been contributing towards generation of revenue and jobs. Then why should Himachal Pradesh be left behind in the phase of advancement? Congress led State Government must take into consideration the demands of the computer teachers and establish a policy accordingly.”

He said, “It is extremely unfortunate that inspite of various initiatives and support of the Central Government, the State Government is unable to provide quality education to the students. If these strikes continue, it will bear a negative impact on the studies of the students. Thus, it is imperative that the State Government takes an action for the sake of future of students and teachers at the earliest.” Given to the strike, computer education has been on a break since 15 days, thereby affecting the studies.
