Heavy monsoon showers in many parts of Himachal Pradesh

Many places experienced heavy monsoon showers in the state today dipping down the Mercury end scanty monsoon condition prevailing in the state.

In Mandi district Gohar got 108 mm rainfall, Sarkaghat 80 mm, Sujanpur in Hamirpur 74 mm, Pandoh in Mandi 70 mm, Mashobra in Shimla 37.4 mm, Bangana in Una 36 mm, Khadrala in Shimla 35.4 mm, Baijnath in 33 mm, Mandi 32.3 mm, Karsog 30.4 mm, Kotkhai in Shimla 30 mm, Palampur 29.2 mm, Kumarsain 27.6 mm, Naina devi in Bilaspur 22.2 mm and Sarahan 22 mm respectively.

The minimum temperature of Shimla was recorded 16.7 degree Celsius, Sundernagar 23 mm, Bhuntar 22 mm, Kalpa in Kinnuar 15.6 mm, Dharamshala 16 mm, Una 26.3 mm, Nahan 21.5 mm, Solan 21.7 mm, Manali.16.6 degrees, Keylong.16 degrees and Kangra 22.4 degrees respectively.

The Met Office forecast widespread monsoon rain in the State during the next 24 hours.
