The President of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee today arrived at Shimla at Kalyani helipad near Chharbra as he was given a warm welcome by the State Governor Mr. Acharya Dev Vrat Sharma and Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh along with other Cabinet Ministers.
Mr. Mukherjee arrived at Shimla at 1345 hrs in the Helicopter from Chandigarh, accompanied by his daughter Ms. Mista Mukherjee and other staff of Rashtrapati Bhavan. He went to The Retreat near Mashorba where he will stay for four days.
Mr. Mukherjee would be the Chief Guest in a Convocation function at Hotel Peterhoff Shimla where he would distribute the degrees to IGMC students. The President is also scheduled to met the Cabinet Ministers of Himachal Pradesh and also have public appointment here. Mr. Mukherjee will return to Delhi on Jun 6.
