Rain showers in HP

Summer showers lashed many parts of Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours. The abode of Tibetan leader Dalai Lama, Dharamshala recorded 20 mm rainfall today. Jubberhati airport recorded 14 mm rainfall in last 24 hours, tourist resort Mashobra and Kufri recorded 14 mm and 7 mm rainfall respectively.

Despite the rain showers, Mercury was keeping marginally high in the State as Una again touched 40 degrees Celsius today, Kangra 36.5 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi 34.4 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 34.6 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 29.5 degrees, Dharamshala 28 degrees, Shimla 24.5 degrees and Kalpa 19 degrees respectively.

Met Office forecast rain and snowfall at few places in the foothills, mid and high reaches in the next 24 hours.
