Una sizzles at 40.6 degree Celsius

The sweltering heat waves continue in the State as Mercury keep exceptionally high despite it was partly cloudy in the State today.

This hill state experienced a good spell of rain and snow yesterday but did not get any relief from the sweltering heat waves as Mercury was exceptionally high in most places of the State today.

Along Punjab border Una recorded the warmest day of this season, as Mercury touch 40.6 degrees mark today forced the people to take cold drinks and switch on their AC and cooler.

Nahan in Sirmaur 34.4 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi 33.6 degrees, Solan and Kangra 32 degrees each, Dharamshala and Bhunter in Kullu 28 degrees each, Shimla 25.5 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnaur and Manali 19 degrees each respectively.

Met office forecasts mainly dry weather in the State during next 24 hours.
