Himachal state registers growth rate of 7.7 percent for FY 2015-16

The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr.Virbhadra Singh who also holds the portfolio of finance of the State said that Himachal Pradesh has registered growth rate of 7.7 percent as State Per Capita income is estimated at 1,30,067 during the financial year 2015-16. The State had registered the growth rate of 7.3 percent in the year 2014-15.

Laying the economic survey for the year 2015-16 in the State Assembly today Mr. Singh said that the GSDP (Gross State Domestic Product) of the State at current prices is increased to Rs. 1,01,108 Cr. as compared to Rs 92,589 Cr in F.Y. 2013-14.

He said that as per the advance estimates GSDP likely to be about Rs 1,10,511 Cr in 2015-16 registering the growth rate of 7.7 percent compared to 7.3 percent in last corresponding year. Mr. Singh also stated that GSDP remained 8 percent during Eleventh Plan 2007-12 eqvivalent to the GDP on All India level.
