Rs 20 Lakh paid to family of Martyr Om Prakash

The Himachal Pradesh Government paid Rs. 20 lakh each to the two deceased slain in the Pampore terror attack at Jammu & Kashmir recently.

Welfare and Empowerment Minister Dr.Dhani Ram Shandil who holds Sainik Welfare Department today handed over Rs.15 lakh amount to martyr parent at their native village.

On behalf of the district administration Shimla, Naib Tehsildar Shimla Mr. Mahirchand Verma had handed over the cheque to the wife of martyr Om Prakesh on Feb 24.

Martyr Lanse naik Om Prakash was the son of Mr.Nek Ram hailed to Chikhal village of Chail under Shimla district. Mr. Shandil also announced to name Government High School Chikhal as shahid Om Prakash High School. The widow of slain soldier would be given government job as they martyr left two children after him.
