The President Chamber of commerce and Industries District Sirmaur, Mr.Umesh Garg said that Union Railway Minister Mr.Suresh Prabhu had disappointed the industrialists of this district for not considering the rail line to be connected from Dehradun to Ropar (Punjab) via Paonta Sahib, Nahan, Kala-Amb, Naqraingarh, Baddi Ropar.
He said that the Members Parliament elected from Shimla Parliamentary constituency had assured the people of this district since long to connect this area with rail line but it was most unfortunate that none of the MP fought with the Union Railway Minister to provide funds for the same.
He said that the present MP Virender Kashyap whenever visited the different parts of the district assured the public to take rail issue with Rail Minister but it was most unfortunate that he never discussed the rail issue with neither Prime Minister nor Union Minister and always misguided the public.
He said that Kashyap belongs to BJP and at present the Central government had been ruled by BJP. He said that all MP’s from Himachal belonged to BJP and it was most easy for the MP from Shimla to arrange budget for this rail line but never cared.
He said that the industrialists of Paonta and Kala-Amb areas facing the hardships of truck operators who are charging freight of their own choice and if this area gets connected with rail, the industrialists would get much relief. He said that Kashyap won the elections for 2 terms but now there would be no chance for him to win next time as voters were much frustrated from his promises.
