High reaches of HP experience snowfall & rainfall in down streams

The high reaches of Himachal Pradesh were experiencing snowfall and down streams experience rainfall since this afternoon. However, cold waves give little respite as night temperature was 2-3 degree above normal.

Reports arriving from Manali said that high reaches of tourist resorts experienced snowfall and lower areas were lashed with rainfall. 13050 ft high Rohtang Pass got moderate to heavy snowfall today.

The minimum temperature of Shimla was 8.3 degrees, Sundernagar 12.3 degrees, Bhuntar 10.8 degrees, Kalpa -0.8 degrees, Dharamshala 8.4 degrees, Una 14.2 degrees, Nahan 16.1 degrees and Keylong -1.2 degrees. Palampur was low at 12 degrees, Dalhousie 8.5 degrees, Solan 10 degrees, Chamba 9 degrees, Manali 5.6 degrees, Kangra 12.5 degrees, Bilaspur 12.8 degrees, Hamirpur 13 degrees and Mandi 6 degrees.

The Met office forecasts rain and snowfall in the State during next 24 hours.
