Tourist resorts Manali and Kalpa experience snowfall

Tourist resorts Manali and Kalpla today experienced snowfall and down streams were lashed with rainfall as it was overcast today.

Report arriving said that tourist resort Manali got 3-centimetre snowfall and 2.4-millimeter rain, Kalpa 3 centimetre snow today and Chamba 3 centimetre rainfall.

13050 ft high Rohtang Pass, Barlancha, Keylong, Lady of Keylong, Seven sister’s hills, Goshal hills and Kunzum Pass, Dhauladhar ranges of Kangra district, Kinnaur and Shrikhand Kailesh of Kinnaur, Jalori jot of Kullu, Shikari Devi of Mandi region got moderate to heavy snowfall in the State.

The minimum temperature of Keylong was at -5.6 degrees, Kalpa -2 degrees, Tourist resort Manali -1 degrees, Seobagh in Kullu 3 degrees, Shimla 3.5 degrees, Solan 4.6 degrees , Dharamshala 6.6 degrees, Bhunter in Kullu 8 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi  9.5 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur and Kangra 11 degrees each.

The Met office forecasts mainly dry weather in foothills but light to moderate rain and snowfall in mid and high reaches of Himachal Pradesh in next 24 hours.
