Capacity of HPCA Cricket Stadium shall be lifted by 25% before T 20 world cup: HPCA

Dharamshala has been allotted 10 world Cup T 20 matches to be played between march 8th – 24th next year, and as the arch rival India and Pakistan teams shall also play here and the match is considered to be the most favourite among Indian spectators, the organizers have decided to raise the sitting capacity stadium by 25% to accommodate the rush.

“5000 more seats shall be added to the present 20,000,” said Sanjay Sharma PRO HPCA on Saturday at Dharamshala. He also said that beside this 30 new rooms with 5 star facilities shall also be added to the Pavilion Hotel to accommodate more international players in Dharamshala. Pavilion which was constructed earlier by HPCA in Dharamshala for the comfortable stay of the players has already around 100 rooms. He said the HPCA have already started the construction work.

Sanjay said ,” To make entry of the ticket holders more fool proof Term style System shall be adopted this time.” He said that the HPCA will approach Himachal Government for all possible help in the successful organization of these matches in the state, which shall defiantly increase the tourism many fold because the live telecast will be seen by majority of sports lovers throughout the world.
