Himachal Pradesh government today appointed Mr. Rakesh Sharma 1998 batch IAS officer as first Municipal Commissioner of newly formed Municipal Corporation.
A notification issued by the Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Dev Vrat said that Mr. Rakesh Sharma-III who is holding the post of Additional Controller Store, Industrial Department at Shimla to be posted as Commissioner Municipal Corporation Dharamshala in district Kangra with immediate effect in public interest.
Mr. Sharma would be replaced by Mr. Jitender Sanjta 2007 HP Administrative Services cadre officer who is additional Director Industries would hold additional charge of stores.
State Government had announced to create the post of Commissioner of MC Dharamshala in cabinet meeting, held on Dec 2 at Tapovan (Dharamshala).
Dharamshala is second MC in the state after Raj day MC Shimla. Dharamshala was covered under national flagship project of smart city.
