Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh today said the state government would allow the saffron agenda of the RSS by the centre to be incorporated in schools in the garb of the new education policy.

“If new education policy means teaching the RSS tailored syllabi and contents in the school, we will oppose it, and won’t allow saffron agenda in our school” said Chief Minister while talking to media person on the sidelines of a national seminar on challenges in higher education.

He said the state government would give suggestions to the centre on the new education policy. On being asked about the high court notice on
smart city issue, he said that the government would reply in the court.

“There was no need to go to court on this issue. If Dharamsala is selected for smart city project that’s also a matter of joy for the state as it is very much part of Himachal Pradesh” he said.

On the accusation of opposition Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) and CPM that Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma, who is a legislator from Dharamsala fudged data to select Dharamsala under smart city project, the Chief Minister said he was not aware of any accusations. I don’t think so Sudhir Sharma has done so and let Dharamsala emerge as smart city and Shimla as capital town, he added.
