Himachal hill experiences earthquake tremors

The hills of Mandi and adjoining districts experienced moderate intensity tremors last midnight forcing people to come out of their homes.

Indian Metrological Department official told Himvani that earthquake hit at 0048 hours last midnight.

The Epicenter of the earthquake was located at a Laltitude of 31.7 degrees North and Longitude of 77.0 degrees East and depth measuring 10 kilometers in the hills of Mandi district. The magnitude of earthquake was recorded four on the richter scale. Apart from Mandi the tremors were also felt in the adjoining areas of Kullu, Shimla and Kangra. So far no loss of life and property have been reported from anywhere.

 

In some places people jumped out of their homes in panic but no loss of property and life report from anywhere sofar.
