Himachal Pradesh announces installments of 6% Dearness Allowance to state employees and pensioners

Himachal Pradesh Government has announced installment of 6% Dearness Allowance to the state employees and pensioners on the occasion of 69th Independence Day here today. This decision of government is likely to benefit about five lakh employees and pension holders.

Addressing state level Independence Day celebration function at the historic Ridge ground here this morning the Chief Minister declared to release 6% Dearness Allowance installments to serving and retired pensioners.

Mr. Singh also flaged off an ambulance unveiling transport system for the tribal and far-flung areas of Himachal Pradesh, Mr. Singh said that the state has already well defined first response system but in the areas, which remain snowbound for most of time round the year are to be deployed with eight 108 advance ambulance transport system equipped with eight anti-skid wheels.

Mr. Virbhadra Singh also said that this tiny hill state is emerging as a pioneer and despite of having source crunch the pace of development here is very much better as compared to the other bigger states. He said that this nation is facing a threat from terrorists and the state and center is jointly responsible to avert them and the way the central government is tackling various threat of terrors across the nation is satisfactory.

” I support Himachal Pradesh University’s decision to continue ban on the direct Student Central Elections in the education institutions as it could not be allowed on the cost of law and order situation. I am also happy that the faith of people here has increased in the democratic setup with the changing times” he added.
