Indian Information Services Officer’s demise

Indian Information Services Officer’s demise 1987 batch Indian Information Service Officer Mr. Tara Singh demised at Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital this afternoon after brief illness.

Mr. Singh belonged to Ludhiana, Punjab and was serving as Assistant Director of Press Information Bureau, Shimla for last three years. He had also serviced in Doordharshan Kendera (DDK) Hisar, and as Directorate of Field Publicity (DFT) and Directorate of Audio Visual Publicity (DAVP).

The departed soul has left behind a son, daughter and wife. During posting in Shimla office Mr. Singh conducted various publicity and information campaigns, which include Public Information Campaign (PIC) during UPA rule and Bharat Nirman Jansuchana Mela under incumbent NDA rule. Mr. Tara Singh’s last rite would be performed at his native villages tomorrow, as his last remains were carried for Ludhiana this afternoon.
