Himachal Pradesh was mostly dry today after a respite from monsoon rainfall

People took much respite from the continued monsoon rain today an it was mostly dry in the state expect rainfall at just one or two places. South West Monsoon system, which wreck havoc during last weak, gave some respite from yesterday onwards as it was mainly dry but partly cloudy in the state today.

People faced hardships due to continued rainfall last week and most of the households were able to dry their wet clothes in the short spanned sunshine today. However it was partly cloudy and foggy at most parts of the state disrupting vehicular traffic in the day time today.

Metrological office concluded that Kumarsain in Shimla district got 17 mm rainfall, Banjar in Kullu 3 mm and Tinder got 2 mm rain in last 24 hrs and meanwhile Dharmshala recorded 8 mm rainfall today.

The maximum temperature also improved by three to four degrees in the state as the capital town was high at 25.2 degrees, Sundernagar at 32.7 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu at 34.2 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnuar at 24.4 degrees, Dharamshala at 28.4 degrees, Una at 35 degrees, Nahan at 27.3 degrees, Solan at 30 degrees, Kangra at 31.9 degrees and Manali at 26.2 degrees respectively.

The metrological office has forecast rain or thundershowers at one or two places in the next 24 hrs.
