Metrological office warns of thunder and hailstorm in parts of Himachal

The Indian Meterological Department in weather bulletin today has warned of thunder and hailstorm tomorrow in the state and has also forecast heavy rain or snowfall in next 24 hrs.

The metrological office said that heavy rain and thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorm in mid and foot hills at isolated places and heavy snowfall at high reaches in on today onwards.

Attributing the inclement weather for cyclonic circulations in the region the metrological office has forecast rain or thundershowers at many places in the foothills and rain or snowfall at many places in the mid and snow at higher places. It had forecast rain and thundershowers in many part of this state for today however there are no report of inclement weather from any where in the state.

Minimum temperature of Keylong in Lahaul Spiti was minus 5.9 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnuar minus 4 degrees, Manali 2.6 degrees, Dharamshala in Kangra 10 degrees, Una 6.6 degreees. Nahan in Sirmaur 14.5 degrees, tourist Dalhousie 6.4 degrees and Chamba 6.7 degrees respectively, Hamirpur was low at 7 degrees, Solan 7.5 degrees, Bilaspur 8.8 degrees, Palampur and Mandi 9 degrees each and Kangra 10 degrees respectively
