11 including 6 Nepali citizens die in Rohru

Shimla: Eleven persons were killed while five others were injured when a vehicle carrying them fell down at Jagoti Nala about 6 km from Rohru in this evening.

DSP Rohru Shiv Chaudhary told HimVani that a Tempo-Trax carrying about 16 persons on the Rohru-Rampur road fell down into a deep gorge near Jogti Nalah, killing 10 persons on the spot and injuring six others, who were rushed to Regional Hospital, Rohru. Later, one of them succumbed to his injuries while five others, reported to be critical, were referred to IGMC Shimla.

The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. The deceased include two children, two women and seven men including six Nepali citizens. The deceased were identified as Pardeep, Lobha Ram, Jiwan Nath, Tipnu Ram and Kaku. The six Nepali citizens are yet to be identified.
