WSF interested in Sikh university at Paonta Sahib

Nahan: In a major development that could prove a major role in the uplift of the backward Sirmaur area, World Sikh Foundation has announced to open a Sikh university of international standards at Paonta Sahib, an important religious centre fro the Sikh community where Guru Gobind Singh spent some years of his life. Earlier this year, another charitable Sikh organization started work on building a university at Baru Sahib in the district.

The foundation plans to spend around Rs 500 crore on the project land for which is already being identified. Chairman of the foundation Prof Jaswant Singh Mann said informal dialogue was already underway with the Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on the project.
