Shimla: Following the Gujarat Model, Himachal Pradesh government today launched the  Extended Green Node (HIM-XGN) scheme, using which entrepreneurs seeking clearance for their industrial units from the Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board will be able to get the same online.

Launching the scheme here today, Chief Minster Prem Kumar Dhumal said the new technology would effectively check corruption, If any existed earlier, and bring efficiency in the service process of the Pollution Control Board. The service will cut down delays and reduce endless journeys of the entrepreneurs who were earlier seen hovering around the Board officials to have pollution clearance for their units.

According to Forest Minister JP Nadda, industrialists would not have to visit Board office to get the work done now. “They just need to log in and submit their proposals and get the work done online”, he said.
