Himachalis bag, 59th, 516th ranks in IAS results

Shimla: Giving reality to his dreams, Vivek Sharma from Hamirpur district has been selected in the IAS examinations, results for which were declared on May 5. He has been ranked 516th. Vivek, who hails from the Bhareri village of Hamirpur district, has completed his school education from DAV School, Hamirpur. Later, he did his BA from Hamirpur Degree College and completed his LLB from Punjab University Chandigarh. Presently, he is working as a clerk in the Punjab Excise and Taxation department. He is grandson of former deputy speaker of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, Amin Chand.

Chitrngna Singh, a former Indian Express staffer, secured 59th rank in this year’s merit.  She is daughter of DGP(Prisons) Sohan Singh.
