Indian metrological department warns of hailstrom in parts of Himachal Pradesh

    Indian metrological department has warned of hailstorm in plains and mid hills of isolated parts of Himachal Pradesh.

    Rain or thundershowers has been forecasted at few places in plain, and rain or snow at few places on higher altitudes. The inclement weather conditions is being attributed to fresh western disturbance and cyclonic circulation due to low pressure area in the region. Meanwhile Minimum temperature increased by three to four degrees and maximum by two to three degrees in last 24 hrs.

    Keylong in Lahaul – Spiti district was low at minus 6.2 degrees, Kalpa remained at minus 2.6 degrees, while tourist resort Manali showed two degrees, respectively. Bhunter remained low at seven degrees, Una and Sundernagar in Mandi remained at eight degrees, while Palampur and Dalhousie were low at 12 degree each.
