Western disturbances continue to effect the Himalayan region

Mercury plummets further in the state as maximum & minimum temperatures plunged by 2 to 3 degrees celsius each during last 24 hrs.

Keylong recorded minus 11.9 degrees, Kalpa reached 5.8 degrees, Manali recorded minus 2.6 degrees, Dalhousie 0.5 degrees, Shimla 1.2 degrees, whereas Una and Chamba recorded 1.5 degree and 1.6 degrees, respectively.

Palampur in Kangra and Bhunter in Kullu reached as low as 2 degrees each, Dharmshala, Solan and Kangra recorded 3 degrees each, whereas Bilaspur and Hamirpur recorded 7 degrees and Nahan recorded 8 degrees.

The Metrological office forecast has predicted rain and snow in few parts of the state in next 24 hours. However the Metrological department has given further forecast stating that Western Disturbances will continue to effect the Himalayan region from tomorrow onwards for next couple of days.
