Cold waves continue in Himachal Pradesh

Despite dry weather and sunshine in the state cold weather plummeted mercury at many parts and the minimum temperature receded down further.

Keylong, headquarter of Lahaul Spiti and remained coldest at minus nine degrees, Kalpa the regional headquarter of Kinnuar recorded minus five degrees whereas Manali remained at minus three degrees, respectively.

Bhunter Airport in Kullu was at freezing point today whereas Sundernagar in Mandi showed one degree. Other places like Una, Solan, Palampur, Dharamshala, Nahan and Sirmaur also continued to shiver in freezing cold conditions.

The Metrological office has forecast rain or snow at high reaches and mainly dry weather in other parts of the state.
