Clear weather in Himachal Pradesh after over night rain and snowfall

It was sunshine and clear in the state this morning after over night wide spread of rain and snowfall on high reaches.

Hindustan Tibet National Highway remained cut off for vehicular traffic till noon this morning after having five to six centimeter of fresh snowfall at Kufri and Narkanda. Kinnaur district also got highest snowfall as Kalpa recorded 11.6 cm snow till today morning.

Keylong head quater of Lahaul Spiti district also remained cut off from other parts of the state. Tourist resort Manali and Shimla recorded 22 mm and 15 mm rain fall. Sundarnagar in Mandi got 28.5 mm rain, Solan 10 mm, Bhunterairport in Kullu 10.8 mm whereas Dharmashala recorded 6.6 mm of rain respectively.

Normal life is expected to restore soon with clear sky and sunshine in days to come. The Meteorological department has forecast rain or snow at high reaches in next 24 hours however it will be mainly dry in rest of the state.
