The state witnessed pleasant and mainly dry weather today, however, Met. office forecast rain or snowfall in the state during coming three days.
With mainly dry weather and sunshine it was pleasant weather in this hill state today, but state is likely to have rain or snowfall from tomorrow onwards which would continue till March 11. The Met. office warned of hailstorm in low and middle hills on March 9 and 10 in some parts of the state.
It said that rain or snowfall is likely to occur in the middle and high reaches in next 24 hours and rain at isolated places in the foothills. Day and night temperature was up in the state by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in last 24 hours as Keylong was coldest at minus 9.7 degrees Celsius in Lahaul & Spiti district, Kalpa in Kinnaur district was low at minus 2.2 degrees, Manali was at sharp freezing point, at zero degrees Celsius.
Solan was at 4 degrees, Shimla, Sundernagar in Mandi district, Dalhousie, Chamba and Hamirpur were at 5 degrees each, Bilaspur and Kangra at 6 degrees each, Dharamshala 7 degrees, Una, Nahan and Palampur at 8 degrees each.
