State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV and ACB) yesterday grilled former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal’s younger son Arun Dhumal who is Vice President of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) along with seven other members of the cricket body.

Arun Dhumal, Kripal Parmar, Sanjay Sharma, Mohit Sood and others were questioned for over three hours and were called turn by turn by the Bureau into the matter of alleged irregularities in HPCA, into which a case of cheating was registered earlier this year.

Superintendent of Police (SP) SV and ACB, Bimal Gupta confirmed that two to three members would be questioned on Thursday.

HPCA President Anurag Thakur had not been summoned yesterday as he had already appeared before the Bureau earlier, official said.

Sources revealed that sleuth quizzed eight officials of the cricket body in connection with the change of status of HPCA from society to company concealing fact while converting it during last BJP rule.

After interrogation Mr. Dhumal told media at Dharamshala that despite being questioned, Chief Minister Virbhadhra Singh did not respond to his repeated queries to explain the facts about raising of loan from Vakamulla Chandrashekhar.

He said that he was ready to face enquires, but Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh should also clarify the allegations leveled on him.

“He is not running the Vigilance department but the department of Vendetta. If we are answering the queries then he should also come with his stand on it”, said Arun Dhumal.
