Opposition Bhartiya Janta Party in the state has slammed Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh government for ousting incumbent Chairperson of State Woman Commssion Ms. Dhaneshari Thakur without sending her any notices before this action.

In a press statement issued by party spokesman Ajay Rana today said that this action is unconstitutional, immoral and miscarriage of justice on behest of Mr. Singh one year’s rule.

It would set wrong precedent for the future as Ms. Thakur had been removed indiscriminately without allowing her to complete her three years term, saffron party alleged.

“The removal of Ms. Thakur shows that government have no faith on the democratic norms shrined in Indian Constitution as she had been removed from the post despite having wonderful achievements”, Mr. Rana said.

Seeking to reconsider this decision, BJP leader said that it would put heavy a scar on the functioning of this government, it should immediately withdraw notification allowing Ms. Thakur to complete full term.
