Himachal Angling Association in collaboration with the Departments of Fisheries & Tourism, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, is holding the 70th Anglers’ meet-cum-angling contest in Maharana Partap Sagar (Pong Reservoir) , Sansarpur Terrace, District- Kangra, HP, on November 9th &10th (Saturday & Sunday), 2013.
This was announced at Dharamshala late on monday night by Mr. K.B. Ralhan, secretary general, HAA. He said, “There will be an Open Angling Contest from 6 am to 11.30 am on November 10th, followed by a brain storming session to finalize the recommendations for conservation of fisheries wealth of the reservoir and promotion of tourism through sport fishing.”
“All anglers are required to register themselves on arrival. Registration of the participants shall be done on November 9th, 2013 in the afternoon at Pong Dam. This will be followed by a General House Meeting of the association to brief the participants about the angling rules and activities of the association”, added Ralhan.
He said that anglers will be issued fishing license by the representative of the Fisheries Department at the time of registration.
