Delegation of Gujjar community meets Chief Minister

A delegation of Gujjar community from Majra village of Indora Tehsil in Kangra district today met Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh to brief about their demands.

The delegation told the Chief Minister that it was during his tenure as Chief Minister around twenty years back, that they were rehabilitated in Majra and Modli villages of Indora Tehsil and most of the families were provided water and electricity and other basic amenities. They requested for electricity meters facility to the left out families.

The delegation also brought to the notice of the Chief Minister that the place where they had been rehabilitated was proposed to be given for mining purpose, which would again make them homeless. They requested that the land where they were residing should be transferred on their name.

Shri Virbhadra Singh assured the delegation that their demands would be considered sympathetically.
