Dhumal accused of patronising corruption

Shimla: All may not be going well for the Prem Kumar Dhumal governmnt just beforer the Parliamentary elections. Resentment seems to be brewing up in one section of the powerful government employee lobby against the BJP government on account of its alleged failure to deal with corruption impartially. Addressing mediapersons during a press briefing on Thursday, former Himahal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporaion employee leader Om Prakesh Goyal accused the Dhumal government of patronising corrupt officials, and threatened that he would approach the Supreme Court if action was not taken against such officials.

Goyal said that Dhumal had submitted a chargesheet against some officials to the governor on March 6, 2007 when BJP was in the opposition, but he himself failed to act after taking over power in the state. He also alleged that while the BJP government followed a pick and choose policy while reinstating employeess suspended duing the Congress rule and himself claimed o be a vicim of the same policy.
