Open recruitment drive twice in a year : Indian Armed Forces

With an appeal to come forward to join Indian Armed forces, local recruitment officer has informed here today that youth could attend recruitment drive organized twice in a year.

Delivering a lecture on recruitment schedule and benefits offered by Indian Armed forces in Public Information Campaign (PIC) organized by Press Information Bureau Shimla here today, Assistant Recruitment officer of Shimla Sub. S. K. Chobai said that they could get more information at four recruitment offices  established at Shimla, Mandi, Palampur and Hamirpur district.

Sub. Chobai said that four types of recruitment of soldiers are being conducted by these recruitment offices and physic of youth hailed from Shimla district was found most suitable to enroll them in the force as most of them have been recruited during open drive conducted in Shimla and Solan town in the past. Youths are being recruited in general duty and technical trade in the forces from the district elaborated about necessary education qualification for different categories.

Students of Government Senior Secondary School Sunni showed keen interest in the stall exhibited by the Armed forces, also got handbills and pamphlets containing the detail of recruitment rules and qualification.

Indian Armed forces also displayed equipments and kits for mountaineering and used during the rescue operation in exhibition stall.

It also organized health camp in which number of people came forward to have their medical check during the PIC here.
